Sejong City to Launch 'Metropolitan Trunk Express Bus' Passing Through Districts 3 and 4 Starting Next Month
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City will newly include the B4 line in the metropolitan bus rapid transit system (BRT) starting from the 1st of next month.
According to the city on the 25th, the B4 line operates on a route starting from Banseok Station, passing through Sejong Terminal, Daepyeong-dong, National Research Complex, Bangok-dong, Dasom-dong, and going to Osong Station.
The operating hours are from 5:33 AM to 11:13 PM on weekdays, with an average interval of 40 minutes between buses. The daily number of trips is 27, the same on both weekdays and weekends.
The city established the B4 line reflecting demands for expanded public transportation services for citizens in the 3rd and 4th living zones, as well as urban development such as the industry-academia-research cluster and knowledge industry complex.
This line operates separately from the existing B2 line, which maintains its current route. However, the number of trips will increase from 109 to 111.5, and the interval between buses will be adjusted from 5 to 30 minutes to 6 to 30 minutes.
