Prosecutors Conduct Search and Seizure at Airline Offices in 'Eastar Air Fraudulent Hiring Allegations' Case

According to the Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office on the 22nd, the office has been conducting searches and seizures at two Eastar Jet offices and the residence of former lawmaker and Eastar Jet founder Lee Sang-jik since the morning.
The prosecution is investigating whether former lawmaker Lee, along with former Eastar Jet CEO Choi Jong-gu, recommended specific applicants to the HR team during the 2014-2015 flight attendant recruitment process and received bribes in return for hiring applicants who did not meet the qualification criteria.

A prosecution official stated, "Some of the searches and seizures related to the Eastar Jet illegal hiring allegations have been completed today, while others are still ongoing," adding, "We cannot disclose detailed information as the investigation is in progress."
