Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam jointly held the 'Changwon-UK Hydrogen Policy Meeting' with the British Embassy in Korea.

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it held the 'Changwon-UK Hydrogen Business Meeting' jointly with the British Embassy in Korea on the 19th, receiving recognition from the British Embassy for Changwon's hydrogen industry capabilities, and took the first step toward full-scale hydrogen business exchanges between domestic hydrogen institutions and companies closely related to Changwon's hydrogen industry and UK companies.
Executives stationed in Korea from globally renowned UK companies in various fields such as ERM, UIB Korea, Hexagon, Horiba Mira, Lloyd's Register, Magma Catalysts, Ricardo, and Shell attended the meeting.
Changwon Special City presented the 'Current Status of Changwon Hydrogen Policy Promotion and Support for Hydrogen Companies,' explaining in detail how Changwon has cooperated with major institutions and companies such as Doosan Enerbility, Doosan Fuel Cell, Hyundai Rotem, Kwangshin Machinery Industry, Beomhan Fuel Cell, Korea Automotive Technology Institute, and Changwon National University on various hydrogen projects and the achievements made. It also detailed the advantages UK companies can gain when promoting hydrogen business targeting the Asian region through Changwon, which has excellent equipment manufacturing capabilities across the entire hydrogen cycle, drawing great interest and positive responses from the British Embassy and UK company representatives.
Tony Clamson, Commercial Counsellor, and Cindy Kim, Senior Trade Officer, among other officials from the British Embassy in Korea, said, "We hope for active business exchanges between Changwon and UK companies in many fields including hydrogen, and we expect great synergy if Changwon and the UK work together in the future."
