JiBike Kickboard Charging Starts with Plans for Future Expansion
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 22nd that it has signed a business agreement with mobility service startup 'Shevility' and will begin operating the shared kickboard charging service 'Wing Station.'
7-Eleven and Shevility previously signed a business agreement in July regarding the 'establishment of convenience store mobility infrastructure,' and now customers can easily rent charged shared kickboards at nearby convenience stores. The stores can also be conveniently used as locations to return shared kickboards.
This service will be operated mainly in the Bupyeong area of Incheon, with a total of 10 stores including Bupyeong Branch and Bupyeong Manchan Branch providing the service sequentially from the 22nd. Each store can charge between one and three kickboards, and one hour of charging allows operation for about 1.5 to 2 days. The wireless kickboard brand that can be charged at 7-Eleven Wing Stations is 'G-Bike,' and the range of chargeable brands will be expanded in the future.
Through the Wing Station mobile application (app), users can search for nearby stores where charging is available and check charging status, making it more convenient to use.
