Ulsan Stay Tourism Promoted in Southeast Asia... Fam Tour Inviting Korea-ASEAN Center Officials
Exploration of Daewangam Park, Bangudae Petroglyphs, and Ganjeolgot on the 20th-21st
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is hosting a fam tour inviting members of the ASEAN-KOREA CENTRE to introduce Ulsan's major tourism contents.
The ASEAN-KOREA CENTRE is an international organization established in 2009 with the purpose of expanding economic, social, and cultural exchange and cooperation between Korea and the 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The member countries include the 10 ASEAN members: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, along with Korea, making a total of 11 countries.
Seventeen officials from five of the 10 ASEAN member countries?Laos, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines?are participating in this preliminary inspection trip.
The schedule will take place over two days, from the 20th to the 21st.
On the morning of the first day, the 20th, participants will tour the Bangudae Petroglyphs, and in the afternoon, visit Oegosan Onggi Village, the Onggi Museum, and take a docent tour of the Fe01 Junk Art Gallery, followed by a visit to Ganjeolgot, the place where the sun rises first in Korea.
On the second day, the 21st, the itinerary starts with experiencing the suspension bridge at Daewangam Park, then touring Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village and the Whale Museum, moving on to Taehwagang National Garden to walk through the Ten-ri Bamboo Grove, and finally experiencing traditional rice cake making at Dagae Rice Cake House.

An official from Ulsan City stated, “Through this inspection trip, we plan to introduce Ulsan’s tourist sites that harmonize industry, historical culture, and pristine natural environment, promote mutual travel product exchanges with the center’s member countries, and cooperate to ensure Ulsan gains attention as a tourist destination.”
