Suncheon City to Implement 'Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support Project' Starting from the 22nd
Young Adults Aged 19-34 Without Housing Living Separately from Parents... Up to 200,000 KRW Monthly
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu) announced on the 19th that it will implement the ‘Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support Project’ starting from the 22nd to reduce the housing cost burden for young people.
The Youth Monthly Rent Special Support provides housing rental fees up to 200,000 KRW per month for a maximum of 12 months to young people who meet income and property requirements.
The support target is young people aged 19 to 34 who live separately from their parents, have no home ownership, and reside in housing with a lease deposit of 50 million KRW or less and monthly rent of 600,000 KRW or less.
The payment criteria are that the youth household must have a median income of 60% or less (1-person household 기준 1,160,000 KRW) and property value of 107 million KRW or less, and the original household including parents must have a median income of 100% or less (3-person household 기준 4,190,000 KRW) and property value not exceeding 380 million KRW.
Youth who wish to apply can do so for one year starting from the 22nd via Bokjiro or the application, or by visiting the administrative welfare center of their address.
