KEPCO Selected as Preferred Negotiation Partner for Saudi Combined Heat and Power Plant Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) has reportedly been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the combined heat and power plant development project in Saudi Arabia.
According to the energy industry on the 18th, KEPCO was chosen last month as the preferred negotiation partner for the combined heat and power plant development project at the Jafurah natural gas field, commissioned by Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil company Aramco.
Jafurah is a region located 400 km east of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where the gas field is situated.

This is the first time KEPCO has secured an overseas combined heat and power plant construction project. The contract size is reported to be up to 600 million dollars.
