Since starting the promotion "One paper towel sheet is enough" in 2021, this year the city is promoting "For me, us, and future generations, we have eliminated paper towels in the city hall" for the first time nationwide.
In the past eight months, the city hall alone has reduced 3.2 million paper towels (17 million KRW) and decreased waste generation, cutting 5.3 tons of carbon, which is equivalent to planting 824 pine trees.
The city has designated the 22nd of every month as Changwon City Climate Action Day by ordinance and promotes various climate actions through large electronic billboards, including ▲Remaining carbon time for us (currently 6 years 11 months) ▲Not riding passenger cars ▲Joining the Carbon Point System ▲Using Nubija ▲Eating vegetarian ▲Avoiding fast fashion.
