The school accounting inspections are conducted by directly visiting schools during the summer vacation period to minimize the burden of on-site work.
The Office of Education has already completed on-site visits to 16 high schools and special schools, and the local education support offices plan to conduct inspections of standalone kindergartens and elementary and middle schools by the end of this month.
The inspection targets are schools with an unused amount (carryover) of 100 million won or more based on last year's settlement, or an unused rate of 5% or more, or net surplus exceeding 2% of the revenue settlement amount.
Through this inspection, the Office of Education confirmed compliance with the budget (settlement) preparation procedures, checked school accounting cash inspection documents, inspected the execution rate of school accounting, analyzed the causes of excessive carryover and unused amounts, and proposed execution plans. In addition, they listened to voices from the field regarding inconveniences occurring during the operation of K-EduFine.
