This policy proposal presentation contest was held to guarantee youth participation rights in policy and to allow youth, the direct beneficiaries of policies, to propose and discover youth policies for Pohang City. From June 27 to July 22, 36 proposals were received, and 10 teams that passed the document screening advanced to the finals to present their proposals.
On the day, participating youths directly presented their ideas on youth policies, engaged in Q&A sessions, and suggested practical solutions through the voices of youth, fostering democratic decision-making skills by communicating with others.
▲ The Grand Prize was awarded to Park Hajin, a third-year student at Pohang Jecheol High School, for the proposal "Establishing an Online Space for Policy Communication Among Youth." ▲ The Excellence Award went to Choi Eunhyuk, a first-year student at Pohang High School, for "Pohang Youth Love Card with Work Point," and to Park Junghyun and three others, third-year students at Pohang Jecheol High School, for the "Introduction of 4 Car Policy."
▲ The Merit Award was given to Lee Hanmin and three others, first-year students at Pohang Girls' High School, for "Youth Stump Bookstore," Kim Doyeon and two others, second-year students at Jungang Girls' High School, for "Support Project for Book Expenses Advancing Toward Dreams," and Kwon Gisu and three others from the Pohang Youth Culture House Operating Committee for the "Teen Point Tree System to Activate Youth Participation," along with four Encouragement Awards.
