CJ Logistics Construction Division Wins Contract for Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Godeok Comprehensive Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 3 Project

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] CJ Logistics Construction Division announced on the 16th that it had won the contract for the construction of the third phase of Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek Godeok wastewater treatment plant on the 10th.
The third phase comprehensive wastewater treatment plant, to be newly constructed within the Godeok General Industrial Complex in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, is scheduled to be completed in December 2024 after approximately 29 months of construction, with a project cost of about 132.8 billion KRW.
Through the third phase of construction, Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek Godeok Comprehensive Wastewater Treatment Plant will secure a capacity to treat about 92,500 tons of wastewater per day. The total floor area of the construction is 18,955㎡, consisting of 9,874㎡ for the wastewater treatment facility and 9,081㎡ for the building spanning from two basement floors to three above-ground floors. Previously, in December 2019, the first phase comprehensive wastewater treatment plant capable of treating 102,000 tons per day was completed, and the second phase facility with a daily treatment capacity of 62,000 tons is scheduled to be completed this December.
The contract win for the Godeok Comprehensive Wastewater Treatment Plant was based on the environmental project construction performance of CJ Logistics Construction Division. Recently, it carried out an expansion project to increase the daily treatment capacity of Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Godeok Phase 1 Comprehensive Wastewater Treatment Plant by 18,000 tons, which is scheduled to be completed this month.
