POSCO, Two More Employees Disciplined for Workplace Sexual Harassment
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] POSCO has disciplined two additional employees after receiving reports related to sexual violence incidents from all employees.
According to the industry on the 15th, POSCO received internal reports related to workplace sexual violence incidents since June and, after investigation, suspended two employees belonging to the Pohang Steelworks.
Earlier, on June 7, a female employee of POSCO Pohang Steelworks filed a police complaint against four employees for allegations of rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. Before the police investigation results were released, POSCO took disciplinary actions including dismissal against the four employees involved based on detailed investigation results. Dismissal is a severe disciplinary action equivalent to termination.

Additionally, POSCO also issued disciplinary actions such as warnings and salary reductions to six executives, including the Pohang Steelworks manager, who had direct or indirect managerial responsibility related to the employees involved.
