Jang Yun-ho, CEO of MyDaily, Passes Away at Age 60
Jang Yun-ho, CEO of the comprehensive daily internet newspaper MyDaily, passed away on the 12th due to an illness. He was 60 years old.
He joined Hankook Ilbo in 1987 and served as a correspondent for the Major League Baseball in the United States for Ilgan Sports, head of the sports department, head of the baseball department, and editor-in-chief. Afterwards, he served as CEO of Star News, a media specializing in entertainment and sports, and from 2018 to 2019, he was Secretary General of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and Special Advisor to the KBO Commissioner. He was appointed CEO of MyDaily in June last year.
Survived by his wife Jeon Hye-jin (professor at Chung-Ang University Graduate School of International Studies), daughter Jang Moon-jung (Korean-American fashion designer), and brothers Jang Ki-bong (CEO of Taegil) and Jang Won-ho (doctor at Hopeful Hospital).
