October LPGA Taiwan Swinging Skirts "Canceled for 3 Consecutive Years Due to COVID-19 Impact"

On the 10th (local time), the LPGA Tour announced, "Due to ongoing travel restrictions caused by COVID-19, this year's Taiwan Swinging Skirts has been canceled." The event was scheduled to take place over four days starting October 27 in Taiwan. The Swinging Skirts, held since 2011, has not been held since 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. The most recent winner was world No. 3 Nelly Korda (USA), who achieved back-to-back victories in 2018 and 2019.

The LPGA Tour expressed gratitude for the support and efforts of the Swinging Skirts Golf Foundation and local partners, saying, "Although this decision is regrettable, we hope the tournament will be held again in 2023." The Buick Shanghai, which was scheduled to be held in Shanghai, China for four days starting October 13, was also canceled for the third consecutive year on the LPGA Tour.
