On this day, key figures including Choi Woo-gak, Chairman of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Machinery Cooperative, Ha In-seong, Director of Gyeongbuk Technopark, Ilhom Hydropp, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Textile Association, CEO of Inno Technopark, and the President of the Textile University attended.
A textile machinery export consultation meeting was held at the Korea-Uzbekistan Textile Technopark, established as an ODA project by Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (with Gyeongbuk Technopark's participation) to foster Uzbekistan's textile industry.
Twelve local companies participated and conducted one-on-one export consultations with local buyers, achieving contracts and export consultation results worth 28 million USD.
Jo Seung-hyung, CEO of Prince·Worldro and Chairman of the Korea Recycled Fiber Association, who attended the consultation meeting, said, "We are currently exporting to the Uzbekistan market, and plan to expand new markets in the future while establishing strategic cooperative marketing with local partners."
On this day, Governor Lee Cheol-woo signed a tripartite agreement to promote mutual cooperation with Ilhom Hydropp, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Textile Association, and Choi Woo-gak, Chairman of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Machinery Cooperative.
At the meeting held after the signing ceremony, opinions were exchanged on ways to achieve a win-win through mutual cooperation between textile companies in Daegu-Gyeongbuk and textile companies in Uzbekistan.
Following this, Governor Lee visited Reprocessing LLC, a local company directly exporting under Chairman Jo Seung-hyung, to inspect the site.
At the site, CEO Paiziev Nuritdin said, "So far, we have imported excellent Korean textile machinery to produce high-quality premium products, and we plan to continue importing excellent Korean textile machinery to expand our business areas."
