Kumho Tire Publishes '2022 Sustainability Management Report'
Containing Full-Scale Climate Change Response Goals
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kumho Tire announced on the 11th that it has published the '2022 Sustainability Management Report,' which contains ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management performance and goals.
This report includes messages from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and interviews with key executives, reflecting the commitment to ESG management and efforts to build consensus among employees.
In particular, it contains Kumho Tire's full-scale climate change response goals. The company disclosed its 2045 carbon neutrality target and roadmap, analyzed climate change risks and opportunities, and potential financial impacts. Kumho Tire joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in July 2022 and plans to submit carbon neutrality targets and implementation plans aligned with the 1.5℃ scenario within two years.
Additionally, Kumho Tire established an ESG Management Committee under the CEO and five working groups?Climate Change, People & Culture, Responsible Supply Chain, Ethical Management, and Governance?to establish an ESG decision-making system.
Meanwhile, Kumho Tire's report enhances reader convenience and readability through interactive features. The report is organized into four sections: Sustainable Business, Environment, Social, and Governance, and was prepared according to international ESG standards such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and GRI Standards.
