Yonhap Infomax Acquires GlobalA and Changes Company Name
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Yonhap Infomax, which operates the economic specialized broadcasting channel 'Yonhap News Economic TV,' will launch on the 15th.
On the 10th, Yonhap Infomax announced that it acquired the blockchain specialized channel GlobalA and changed its name to Yonhap News Economic TV to officially start broadcasting.
Yonhap News Economic TV plans to produce video content based on Yonhap Infomax's news and data, and broadcast it through cable channels and YouTube to contribute to improving the public's financial knowledge.
It also added that it will produce broadcasts specialized in new technologies and finance centered on the 4th industrial revolution, such as blockchain, non-fungible tokens (NFT), virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and metaverse (extended virtual world), and plans to enter the online video service (OTT) industry.
