The 103rd National Sports Festival Gyeongnam Representative Final Selection Will Be Held in Sancheong
Over 170 High School and General Division Athletes Compete in 8 Weight Classes Over Two Days, June 13-14
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The "103rd National Sports Festival Gyeongnam Representative Taekwondo Final Selection Competition," where Taekwondo athletes from Gyeongnam Province gather in one place, will be held in Sancheong-gun.
The event, held over two days from the 13th to the 14th at the Sancheong-gun Gymnasium, is hosted by the Gyeongnam Taekwondo Association and organized by the Sancheong-gun Taekwondo Association.
About 170 athletes from the high school and general divisions will compete in 8 weight categories, showcasing the skills they have honed.
The top three winners in the general division will earn the qualification to represent Gyeongnam in the team event at the 103rd National Sports Festival to be held in Ulsan this October.
The county expects around 800 athletes and their families to visit Sancheong during the competition period. It is anticipated to invigorate the local economy and also promote excellent sports facilities.
