LG OLED TV Ranks Top in Performance Evaluations Across 5 Countries Including Germany, Sweden, and Netherlands
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] LG Electronics announced on the 10th that the 2022 LG OLED Evo is receiving favorable reviews in Europe, the largest market for OLED TVs. The LG OLED Evo is an OLED TV product that applies proprietary video processing technology to deliver brighter and clearer picture quality compared to previous models.
The German consumer media Stiftung Warentest recently evaluated 315 TV products and selected the LG OLED Evo (model name C2) as the best product. The LG OLED Evo received the highest ratings in both picture quality and sound. Eight other LG OLED TV models also ranked between 2nd and 9th place in this evaluation.
The LG OLED Evo also ranked first in a TV performance evaluation conducted by the Swedish consumer media R?d & R?n. Among 236 TV products, R?d & R?n awarded the LG OLED Evo (model name 65C2) the highest score of 78 points. In this evaluation, R?d & R?n selected all top 10 products as LG OLED TV models.
Additionally, the LG OLED Evo was selected as the best product in evaluations conducted by consumer media in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Portugal.
LG Electronics emphasized that the evaluations by European consumer media are highly reliable because they are conducted on products sold in the market, not on test units. The company also announced plans to strengthen its premium TV leadership by introducing the lifestyle TV 'LG OLED Objet Collection Pos?' in the European market.
Europe is a region with a high preference for premium TVs, accounting for more than 40% of the global OLED TV market. Market research firm Omdia forecasts that the sales share of OLED TVs in the European TV market will exceed 20% this year, marking a record high.
