Gurye-gun Conducts 2022 Community Health Survey

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from the 16th of this month to October 31st, it will conduct a community health survey targeting about 900 adults aged 19 and over among household members of sample households.

The community health survey is a statistical survey that collects residents' health levels to promote health projects tailored to regional characteristics. It has been conducted annually since 2008 by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.

This community health survey will be conducted by skilled investigators who have completed a series of training visiting the selected sample households, using an electronic questionnaire installed on a laptop, and conducting one-on-one interviews with the survey subjects.

The survey items include 138 questions covering health behaviors (smoking, drinking, physical activity, dietary habits, etc.), diagnosis experience and management level of chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, etc.), vaccinations, quality of life, and personal hygiene rules related to COVID-19.

The survey results are scheduled to be announced by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency around March next year.

The statistical data produced through the survey will be used as basic data for understanding community health levels, establishing and evaluating local health project plans, and promoting community health policies.

An official from the county said, "The community health survey is an important survey conducted for the healthy lives of all residents, so we ask the residents selected as subjects to actively participate."
