Im Sang-seop, Director of Forest Protection Bureau, Appointed as New Vice Minister of Korea Forest Service
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 9th, the government appointed Im Sang-seop (林尙燮, 52, photo), Director of the Forest Protection Bureau at the Korea Forest Service, as the new Vice Administrator of the Korea Forest Service.
Vice Administrator Im entered public service in 1998 through the 32nd Technical Examination and has served as Director of the Forest Pest Control Division, Director of the Eastern Regional Forest Service, Director of the Forest Industry Policy Bureau, Planning and Coordination Officer, and Director of the Forest Protection Bureau at the Korea Forest Service.
In particular, in 2018, he served as the representative of the '2nd Inter-Korean Forest Cooperation Subcommittee Meeting,' laying the foundation for inter-Korean forest cooperation projects, and in 2019, he was awarded the Order of Service Merit, Red Stripes by the government.

Born in Geochang, Gyeongnam, Vice Administrator Im earned a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Seoul National University, a master's degree in Ecological Landscape Architecture from Seoul National University Graduate School, and a doctorate in Forest Resource Management from the University of British Columbia.
