Chuncheon’s Representative Festival 'Chuncheon Makguksu Dakgalbi Festival' Opens on the 30th
Local Artists' Performances, Pumba, Children's Musical, and Drone Show Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] One of Chuncheon’s representative festivals, the 'Chuncheon Makguksu Dakgalbi Festival,' will be held for six days starting from the 30th.
According to Chuncheon City and the festival organizing committee on the 5th, the 15th Chuncheon Makguksu Dakgalbi Festival will be held around the Samaksan Lake Cable Car temporary parking lot area.
The opening ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. on the 30th. This year, to eliminate negative perceptions about outdoor food sales, in addition to the festival site restaurants for enthusiasts, local restaurants catering to couples and families will be operated.
Tourists using local restaurants can purchase discount coupons, and shuttle buses will be available to transport visitors from the festival site to local restaurants.
During the festival, there will be stage performances including popular singers, local artists, Pumba (a type of street performance), children’s musicals, and a drone show.
There will also be chicken-related sculptures, food trucks, a sales area for small and medium-sized enterprise products, a wild edible plants event, and on- and offline meal kit sales, but no night market will be operated.
