On the 1st, D.P. conducted an interview regarding the acquisition of the Sinsa Imdang channel with the YouTube channel 'Kim Jakga TV.'
D.P. is a full-time investor formerly working as a venture capital investment analyst and currently runs the YouTube channel 'D.P.'s Value Investing.'
D.P. stated that he purchased the Sinsa Imdang channel for a lower amount than what was reported in the media. He said, "It was reported that I acquired it for 3 billion KRW, but I actually bought it for a much cheaper 2 billion KRW," adding, "Of course, even if PD Joo Eon-gyu (the operator of Sinsa Imdang) had asked for 3 billion KRW, I would have bought it."
D.P. explained that he proposed the acquisition after seeing Sinsa Imdang evaluate the channel's value at 2 billion KRW in an interview with a media outlet. He made the purchase offer at the end of last year and acquired the channel at the end of January.
D.P. revealed that the Sinsa Imdang channel's monthly revenue is about 150 million KRW. He explained, "The total revenue from YouTube is 150 million KRW per month, and the expenses do not exceed 20 million KRW," adding, "The net profit is 130 million KRW." This means that operating the channel for about 15 months would allow recovery of the initial investment.

He said, "The biggest risk is PD Joo leaving," emphasizing, "That is the biggest risk." Nevertheless, he stated that he acquired the channel because it has investment value. He explained, "Even if the revenue is cut in half or reduced to a third, the initial investment can be recovered within 2 to 3 years."
D.P. explained that the Sinsa Imdang channel has potential to develop like the YouTube economic channel Sampro TV, which has about 2.01 million subscribers. Sampro TV's corporate value is known to be around 300 billion KRW. He said, "If this channel can be corporatized without a creator, it could receive a corporate value comparable to Sampro TV," adding, "If the gap left by PD Joo can be well filled, the corporate value could improve."
