Spend This Summer Vacation with Your Child at 'Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park'
Conservation of Various Animals and Plants from Rare Reptiles to Endangered Wild Plants
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] How about heading to Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park with your child this summer vacation, where you can escape the heat and enjoy various attractions that let you experience nature?
Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park, located in the Daedong-myeon area, is a representative local tourist destination where various endangered animals and plants are preserved and nurtured, and visitors can enjoy exhibitions and ecological experiences.
The park consists of three areas: the Amphibian and Reptile Ecology Park, the Natural Ecology Park, and the Daedongje Ecology Park. Each park is themed differently, offering visitors a variety of sights to see.
First, the Amphibian and Reptile Ecology Park is the largest specialized exhibition hall for amphibians and reptiles in Korea, where you can see over 300 species including rat snakes, magpie snakes, and king cobras.
The Natural Ecology Park, themed on "Preservation and Nurturing of Endangered Flora and Fauna," is established on a 560,000㎡ site.
Notably, in March, the Natural Ecology Science Center reopened as an "interactive exhibition space" incorporating cutting-edge technology, gaining popularity with experience programs using AR (augmented reality) and interactive media.
Additionally, a ground fountain to cool off the heat and a waterside observation deck along a dense dawn redwood path provide a resting place for visitors tired from the heat.
The Daedongje Ecology Park recently became home to "Byeolbyeol Camping," an auto camping site that is very popular among campers.
It operates five top-class glamping units, as well as 20 units of kids' caravans, spa caravans, and family-type caravans.
