According to the Mokpo Coast Guard Station on the 1st, at around 7:09 a.m. that day, a report was received that resident A (male, in his 80s) in Seongnamdo, Jindo-gun, showed suspected symptoms of cerebral infarction and needed hospital transfer, and a coastal rescue boat from the police substation was dispatched.
The Coast Guard, arriving quickly at the scene, boarded Mr. A onto the coastal rescue boat, braved the rain and wind, arrived at Seomang Port in Jindo, and handed over the patient to the waiting 119 ambulance team.
Earlier, at around 1:45 a.m. on the same day, the Coast Guard received a report that resident B (male, in his 40s) in Sinui-do, Sinan-gun, was suspected of acute appendicitis, and dispatched a patrol ship on duty at sea to transport him to the mainland.
