Four Drug Distributors in 'Gangnam Entertainment Venue Death Case' Appear for Detention Hearing

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Four drug distributors related to the 'Gangnam Entertainment Venue Death Case' appeared for a pre-trial detention hearing at the court on the 30th.
The four distributors, including Mr. A in his 50s, entered the Seoul Central District Court around 10:20 a.m. that day.
They did not respond to reporters' questions about their relationship with the deceased customer, how many people they had sold drugs to, or how they felt, and entered the court.
Mr. A is suspected of selling drugs to Mr. B, a customer in his 20s who died after taking a drug suspected to be Philopon (methamphetamine) at a Gangnam entertainment venue on the 5th of this month, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
The police identified and arrested five people including Mr. A, drug suppliers, and drug users. They applied for arrest warrants for four people who were judged to have serious charges.
On the 5th of this month, a female employee in her 30s who drank alcohol containing a suspected drug at an entertainment venue in Gangnam, Seoul, died. Mr. B, a customer in his 20s who drank with the employee, was found unconscious in a park near the venue at around 8:30 a.m., two hours before the employee died, and was taken to the hospital but eventually died.
