Gyeongbuk Office of Education, Real-Time 'On School' Classes for Elementary Students... Focus on Recovering Learning Loss!
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education will operate the ‘Elementary On-School Summer Vacation Course’ for three weeks from August 1 to 19, helping students develop study habits and strengthen their skills.
‘On-School,’ which has been running since April after the initial school adaptation period at the beginning of the semester, aims to enhance students’ self-directed learning ability and address learning gaps through continuous, selective, and self-directed learning.
‘On-School,’ conducted as real-time interactive classes focusing on Korean, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, and English for all elementary grades, will run a special course for three weeks from August 1 to 19 during the summer vacation.
During this vacation period, classes will be held twice a day from 11 a.m., with each session lasting 25 minutes. The program focuses on reviewing key learning content from the first semester for each grade and fostering regular study habits and skill improvement through various programs in the form of games and quizzes.
On-School is open to any student who wishes to participate without separate membership registration. With team teaching by class teachers and cooperating teachers, students’ learning activities are carefully managed through ‘communication via questions’ and ‘real-time chat window management.’ It has gained continuous interest and positive responses from students and parents, with over 10,000 subscribers.
