Gwangju Seo-gu to Operate 'Visiting Tax Service Office' Starting Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Yi-gang) announced on the 29th that starting from the 1st of next month, it will operate a ‘Visiting Tax Service Office’ to provide tax payment convenience to residents of Yeomju The Sharp Central Park Apartments.
Seo-gu will set up a consultation desk in the community facilities within the apartment complex for residents and assign two staff members in charge of acquisition tax affairs. The service will operate every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 PM to 5 PM during the first month of move-in next month.
The service office will handle tasks such as providing information related to acquisition tax, guidance on acquisition tax filing and payment procedures, exemption benefits, and consultations on revised acquisition tax regulations.
A Seo-gu official stated, “Due to the diversifying real estate policies and Gwangju being a regulated area, inquiries about acquisition tax have increased. We established the consultation desk to provide detailed guidance to residents.” He added, “We will continue to implement policies for various and complex tax guidance in the future.”
Meanwhile, prior to setting up the service office, Seo-gu posted banners and signboards at Hwajeong 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center and major nearby facilities of the apartment to promote the information to residents.
