Kim Sun-ho Appointed as Director General of Police Bureau at Ministry of the Interior and Safety
Non-Police Force Background, Joined as Sergeant in 1989 Through Special Recruitment
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety appointed Kim Sun-ho, Police Commissioner, as the inaugural Director of the Police Bureau on the 29th.
Director Kim, originally from Gwangju, graduated from Gwangju High School and Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in Political Science and Diplomacy. He joined the police force in 1989 through the rank-and-file recruitment program.
He has served as Head of the Community Safety Division at Seoul Bangbae Police Station, Inspector General at the National Police Agency, First Deputy Commissioner of Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency, Head of the Security Investigation Division at Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and Chief of Gyeonggi Suwon Southern Police Station.
Director Kim has also held the positions of Director of the Security Investigation Bureau at the National Police Agency and Head of the Personnel Hearing Preparation Team for Yoon Hee-geun, the nominee for Commissioner General of the National Police Agency.

Director Kim will begin his duties on the 2nd of next month, coinciding with the launch of the Police Bureau.
