Imsil-gun Conducts Dementia Partner Education at Senior University
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] On the 29th, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced that on the 28th, it conducted 'Dementia Partner and Dementia Partner Plus Education' for about 100 students enrolled in the Senior University affiliated with the Korean Senior Citizens Association Imsil-gun Branch.
Through this education, the county explained the understanding of dementia and the importance of early screening, and provided explanations about the dementia patient support projects conducted by the Dementia Safety Center.
Through this, dementia partners and dementia partner plus members who consider and assist dementia patients were cultivated.
During the dementia prevention exercise session conducted during the education, stimulating blood circulation in the whole body and brain received great responses.
One student who received the education said, "I learned dementia prevention exercises and felt joy, and spent a meaningful time where I could prevent dementia even a little in various daily activities."
Kim Daegon, Director of the Health and Medical Center, said, "I hope this education will be a great stepping stone for early detection and prevention of dementia," and added, "Through this, I hope that residents over 60 actively participate in early dementia screening and that dementia awareness improvement is achieved in the region."
