Samsung SDS Q2 Operating Profit 270 Billion KRW... 20% Increase YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Samsung SDS announced on the 28th that its second-quarter sales amounted to 4.5952 trillion KRW and operating profit was 270 billion KRW. These figures represent increases of 41.4% and 20.1%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
By business sector, IT services sales reached 1.5109 trillion KRW, up 8.6% year-on-year, driven by the expansion of cloud migration for enterprise business systems such as Management Information Systems (MIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), growth in enterprise private cloud service business, and continued expansion of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) businesses.
Logistics business sales recorded 3.0843 trillion KRW, a 65.9% increase compared to the same period last year, due to the expansion of domestic and international customers for Cello Square and rising logistics freight rates.
Samsung SDS plans to further expand its cloud business in the IT sector by strengthening competitiveness in the MSP (Managed Service Provider) business, advancing private cloud capabilities, and spreading SaaS (Software as a Service) applications in distribution, service, and manufacturing industries.
