The formation of the TF was carried out to identify and improve regulatory factors that restrict the free business activities of companies residing in the hinterland complex, promote value-added logistics activities, increase added value, and thereby strengthen competitiveness.
The institutional improvement TF consists of a total of 12 members, including representatives from companies in the hinterland complex, Busan Customs, Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, and BPA officials in charge.
The TF plans to hold regular meetings on the last Wednesday of every month to identify unreasonable regulations related to the operation of the hinterland complex and discuss directions for institutional improvement.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said, “Through the institutional improvement TF, we will continuously listen to the demands of companies residing in the hinterland complex and actively prepare institutional improvement plans to actively support the revitalization of business operations for resident companies.”
BPA has been developing, operating, and managing hinterland logistics complexes linked with government and port infrastructure since 2004 to foster Busan Port as a global port logistics hub.
