Gwangju Seo-gu Council Members Listen to Residents' Opinions at 'Central Park Project Briefing'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Members of the Seo-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City attended the 'Jungang Park Private Park Special Project Resident Briefing Session' held at the Seo-gu Cultural Center in Geumho-dong on the 27th to listen to residents' opinions.
The resident briefing session, hosted by Gwangju Metropolitan City and Bitgoeul Jungang Park Development Co., Ltd., was attended by many local residents interested in the development project of Jungang Park District 1, as well as project stakeholders, leading to a heated discussion.
Ko Kyung-ae, Chairperson of Seo-gu Council, said, "Listening to the project overview and progress related to the Jungang Park District 1 special project provided a good opportunity to carefully examine whether public interest and marketability are being balanced in the promotion," adding, "In particular, we were able to hear the vivid voices of local residents on site without any filtering."
She continued, "In line with the original purpose of developing Jungang Park, we promise to do our best to cooperate in the Seo-gu Council to create a clean park for local residents and to ensure the smooth supply of pleasant apartment housing in Seo-gu, where supply is insufficient."
Meanwhile, the Seo-gu Council plans to conclude the 305th extraordinary session on the 1st of next month, wrapping up the 13-day schedule including listening to major work progress and reviewing general agenda items.
