Jeju Police Agency Holds Regular Meeting of Integrity Policy Council
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Police Agency (Chief Lee Sang-ryul) announced on the 27th that it held a regular meeting of the 'Jeju Police Agency Integrity Policy Council' on the 26th at the 2nd-floor conference room of the Jeju Police Agency.
The regular meeting was attended by Lee Sang-ryul, Chief of Jeju Police Agency, the police leadership, and the Integrity Policy Council members including external chairman Kang Moon-won.
At the meeting, discussions were held on sharing content between internal and external members regarding this year's comprehensive anti-corruption measures of Jeju Police Agency, including improvements in vulnerable areas by function, in response to changes in the public institution comprehensive integrity evaluation method led by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission starting this year, and the strengthening of accountability by separate evaluations for each metropolitan and provincial police agency. They also discussed ways to improve integrity.
Chief Lee Sang-ryul said, "As police reforms such as investigation authority reform and the implementation of the autonomous police system are continuously being promoted, I will arm myself with a new mindset and greater responsibility," and added, "I ask for much guidance and advice from the Integrity Policy Council members to leap forward as the Jeju Police that meets the expectations of Jeju residents."
He continued, "We will actively accept the opinions from the Integrity Policy Council, reflect them in policies, and do our best to promote anti-corruption policies to create a clean and trustworthy Jeju Police."
