Ministry of SMEs and Startups Supported Project 'Sodam Sanghoe' Participates in Hand Art Korea
Handmade Market Idus Showcases Various Works
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Backpacker (CEO Kim Dong-hwan) announced on the 27th that the handmade commerce platform 'Idus' will participate in Korea's largest handmade exhibition, Hand Art Korea, as 'Sodam Sanghoe x Idus' together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service.
Now in its 12th year, Hand Art Korea is a specialized exhibition that places the growth of handmade culture as its core value, showcasing all fields of the handicraft industry at a glance, from art products and household items to materials. This event will be held for four days from the 28th to the 31st at COEX in Seoul.
Last September, Idus was selected for the Smart Flagship Store support project hosted by the Small Enterprise and Market Service, an institution under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and has been operating 'Sodam Sanghoe x Idus' in Insadong Ssamziegil and Seogyo-dong. 'Sodam Sanghoe x Idus' will participate in the event with about 90 booths, the largest scale within the event, together with approximately 70 handmade artist teams selected through a competition with about a 3 to 1 ratio.

At the event, Idus will showcase various works including design stationery, food, kitchen and household goods, baby, children and pet products, fashion accessories, and interior items. Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of Backpacker, said, "We hope to continuously create good opportunities and support artists through events held with government agencies," adding, "While focusing on expanding sales channels and digital transformation for small businesses, we will also expand offline events where we can directly hear customers' opinions."
