The first Regulatory Innovation Strategy Meeting is the highest-level governance consultative body for regulatory innovation in the marine and fisheries sector. It is composed of 15 members, including heads of major industry and association groups by sector and private experts, to discuss and finalize regulatory innovation tasks.
The regulatory innovation tasks proposed by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries for this agenda were discovered through the Regulatory Innovation Task Force (TF) and a public contest. They include six major core tasks of large scale (43 detailed tasks) in areas such as marine leisure tourism, marine new industries, and port operations, as well as 37 general tasks, totaling 80 tasks.
Among the discovered tasks, those requiring cooperation with other ministries will be actively negotiated, and the Ministry plans to manage task implementation together with the Office for Government Policy Coordination, which oversees regulatory innovation.
