Wando-gun, Free Marine Leisure Sports Experience
Yachts, Paddle Boards, Kayaks, and More Available for All Residents and Tourists to Experience
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] Jeonnam Wando-gun announced on the 27th that it will operate a marine leisure sports experience program free of charge at Sinji Myeongsasimni Beach area until the 31st.
The marine leisure sports experience program includes yachting, paddleboarding, and kayaking.
Applications for program participation are conducted on-site, and anyone including residents and tourists can participate.
The county has established safety measures such as checking the weather before operating the program, conducting safety education on how to respond to emergencies, having lifeguards on standby at all times, and building an emergency rescue system with the police station and fire station to promote the program safely.
A tourist C who participated in the program said, “It was great to experience marine leisure sports, which I usually don’t get to try easily, for free, and it felt like my stress flew away,” adding, “I want to visit Wando again next year with acquaintances and try it once more.”
Lee Seongyong, Director of Wando Sports Promotion Division, said, “The program will be operated until this weekend, so I hope you visit the clean sea of Wando, the best summer resort, to enjoy marine leisure sports for free and heal yourself,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various programs to help revitalize marine leisure sports and attract tourists.”
