According to the Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju on the 27th, a fire occurred around 7:19 a.m. at a car inspection center in Dojeon-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
One unidentified person died in the fire, and the exact circumstances have not yet been confirmed.
The fire, presumed to have been caused by an explosion in a vehicle, burned part of the second floor of the building and was extinguished in about 40 minutes.
Seventy-five firefighters and 23 pieces of equipment were deployed to the scene.
