Watch "Strange Lawyer Woo Young-woo" as a comic... Official serialization on Naver Webtoon
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] Naver Webtoon is officially starting the serialization of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
Naver Webtoon announced that the new webtoon "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" will be first released at 10 PM on the 27th. It will continue to be serialized every Thursday thereafter.
The webtoon "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" (Yuil/Hwaeumjo) depicts the growth story of Woo Young-woo, a rookie attorney with a genius intellect and autism spectrum disorder, at a large law firm. It is based on the drama of the same name starring Park Eun-bin and Kang Tae-oh, which has been breaking its own highest viewership ratings with each episode. The original drama story has been adapted with the unique fast-paced development and direction characteristic of webtoons.
The webtoon "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," consisting of a total of 60 episodes, will not only cover the story of the original drama but also present additional episodes that were not seen in the drama. In particular, after the domestic serialization begins, it will be translated into English, Japanese, Chinese, and other languages through Naver Webtoon's global service and serialized overseas as well.
Naver Webtoon is expanding its content intellectual property (IP) business through new attempts linking webtoons and dramas. Previously, dramas such as JTBC's "She Would Never Know," SBS's "Lovers of the Red Sky," and KBS's "Good Doctor" were introduced as webtoons. In November last year, a prequel webtoon of SBS's Monday-Tuesday drama "Our Beloved Summer" was simultaneously produced and released.
