‘Illegal Filming in Women’s Restroom’ Yonsei University Medical Student Arrested and Indicted

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A Yonsei University medical student has been indicted and detained on charges of illegally filming a female college student after hiding in a women's restroom.
On the 27th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced that on the 19th, it indicted and detained A (21), a Yonsei University medical student, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, including filming and distribution using a camera, and trespassing in a multi-use place for sexual purposes.
A is accused of entering the women's restroom in front of the Yonsei University Medical Library at around 6:50 p.m. on the 4th and illegally filming a female student in the adjacent stall.
The police responded to the victim's report and urgently arrested A on the spot while hiding in the restroom.
Subsequently, on the 7th, the Seoul Western District Court issued an arrest warrant for A, citing concerns over evidence tampering.
