The 6th District Unit of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency Highway Patrol conducted a joint campaign to prevent highway traffic accidents during the summer vacation season.

The district unit held the campaign on the morning of the 22nd at 10 a.m. at Jinyeong Rest Area on the Namhae Expressway heading toward Suncheon, together with the Korea Expressway Corporation Busan-Gyeongnam Headquarters and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority.
They carried out activities including ▲guidance for drivers to wear seat belts in all seats ▲requesting evacuation off the road to prevent secondary accidents ▲distribution of traffic safety promotional materials such as flare signals.
Chief Jin Munho said, “During summer, rising temperatures increase the risk of traffic accidents such as drowsy driving,” and urged, “If you feel sleepy during long-distance driving, please take sufficient rest at rest areas or drowsy driving shelters, and comply with traffic regulations such as wearing seat belts in all seats.”
