Geochang-gun Conducts Special Safety and Quarantine Inspections for Rural Tourism and Recreation Facilities
Facility Inspections and Prevention of Infectious Disease Resurgence for a Safe Summer Vacation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct a special safety and quarantine inspection on rural tourism and recreational facilities, which are popular among family tourists during the summer vacation season, until August 26.
The inspection targets a total of 118 locations, including 101 rural guesthouses, 14 rural experience and recreation villages, and 3 tourist farms and recreational complexes.
Accordingly, the county will focus on inspecting facility management status, fire safety management, and the posting of safety rules for water play facilities.
Any issues found during the inspection will be addressed with on-site corrective actions and administrative orders, and continuous follow-up management will be conducted to eliminate safety blind spots.

Park Seung-jin, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will conduct thorough guidance and inspections so that tourists can use rural tourism and recreational facilities with peace of mind,” and added, “Rural guesthouse operators and visitors are also asked to strictly follow quarantine rules to prevent the re-spread of COVID-19.”
