Gwangju Main Customs Director Visits Kia Factory, Leading Automobile Export Company
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Jeong Seung-hwan, head of the Gwangju Regional Customs Office, visited Kia's Gwangju plant, a leading export company in the transportation equipment industry, the region's key industry, on the 25th.
This visit was made to devise measures to overcome crises such as rising international raw material prices, global supply chain instability, and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine situation, as well as to support next-generation eco-friendly vehicles and mobility businesses.
Director Jeong toured the main production processes and expressed gratitude for the company's strenuous efforts to overcome the crisis. He promised to support simplifying domestic customs procedures to reduce logistics costs and to provide education and consulting, including for partner companies, to ensure stable origin management for eco-friendly vehicles exported to FTA partner countries.
