Air Busan Offers 30kg Free Checked Baggage for Passengers on Japan Routes
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Air Busan announced on the 25th that it will offer a benefit of free checked baggage up to 30kg to all passengers flying on five Japanese routes until September 7.
Air Busan prepared this service to provide differentiated customer benefits from other airlines, anticipating that students studying abroad and business travelers between Korea and Japan will have a lot of luggage during the summer vacation. Without the baggage benefit promotion, checking in 30kg of baggage would incur an additional cost of about 150,000 KRW one way, but this benefit allows passengers to save on costs.
During the same period, in addition to the checked baggage benefit, a one-time waiver of itinerary change fees and partner discount events will also be held. For passengers with flexible schedules, itinerary changes can be made free of charge once after the initial reservation, reducing the burden of booking airline tickets.
Additionally, when booking through the Air Busan website on three sites ? the online travel platform ‘Agoda’, Japan’s top rental car company ‘Toyota Rent a Car’, and the overseas data service ‘Dosirak’ ? separate service usage discounts will also be provided. Detailed information about the event can be found on the Air Busan website and mobile web/app.
An Air Busan official said, “We have composed benefits that are practically tangible to increase demand for travel to Japan,” and added, “We recommend that not only tourists going to Japan but also local students and residents traveling between Korea and Japan take advantage of these benefits through Air Busan.”
