Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) held an inauguration ceremony and the first workshop on the 23rd at Michuhol Tower in Songdo International City, attended by 54 Incheon SOS (Solutions in Our Society) Lab citizen researchers.
The Incheon SOS Lab project, operated by Incheon TP in collaboration with Incheon City since 2020, is a type of Living Lab that devises solutions to problems related to citizens' daily lives, focusing on 'child safety' issues such as abuse, health, education, traffic safety, and sex crimes.
The citizen researchers, composed of parents in their 30s and 40s majoring in social welfare, software (SW), child education and counseling, medical workers, and university students, will collaborate with Gyeyang-gu to hold weekly workshops over the next six weeks to discover SW and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) solution ideas to address local child-related problems.
The ideas will be refined into corporate research projects through the participation of local SW companies, experts, and citizen facilitators (facilitators: discussion moderators and promoters).
