[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The film 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' has ignited Tongyeong and Busan with the thrill of victory.
'Hansan: Rising Dragon' (Director Kim Han-min) held a special screening aboard the Dokdo ship with military personnel on the 22nd, followed by premiere screenings in Tongyeong and Busan on the 23rd, meeting with audiences.
At the Tongyeong stage greeting held at the site of the Battle of Hansan victory, Park Hae-il said, "Thank you for your interest and for watching the screening," and Director Kim Han-min expressed, "It is an honor to share the catharsis of victory with everyone."
About 3,000 people attended the large-scale screening held at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center. The director and actors, meeting with the citizens of Busan, said, "We are moved to meet the audience of Busan, the city of cinema."
'Hansan: Rising Dragon,' which opens on the 27th, is a war action blockbuster depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Joseon navy united with desperate strategy and courage to protect Joseon against the advancing Japanese forces five years before the Battle of Myeongnyang, focusing on the 'Battle of Hansan.' It is a new work by Director Kim Han-min, who attracted 17.61 million viewers with 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' (2014).
