Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation Certified as Jeonnam Region's First Public Enterprise Sharing Excellence Company
Annual Donations at a Certain Level Support Vulnerable Groups in the Region
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 22nd that it has become the first public enterprise in the Jeonnam region to receive the 'Sharing Excellence Company' certification from the Community Chest of Korea (Jeonnam Social Welfare Community Chest).
The Sharing Excellence Company program is designed for companies that, based on their interest in social issues, fulfill social responsibility through sustainable management, and as members of society, contribute to creating social value and public interest to build a better world.
YGPA was recognized for actively supporting vulnerable groups in the region with a certain level of donations annually and received the highest grade certification plaque as a Gold Member.
President Park Seong-hyun said, "As the first public enterprise in the Jeonnam region to be named a Sharing Excellence Company, we will take the lead in social contribution activities that can practically help the local community and in spreading the culture of sharing."
Meanwhile, YGPA has been registered in the Regional Social Contribution Recognition System organized by the Korea National Council on Social Welfare in 2021 due to its steady local social contribution activities.
