[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 25th, Choi Man-rim, former Director General of Local Finance Policy at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, will be inaugurated as the 37th Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do.
New Deputy Governor Choi Man-rim is from Goseong, Gyeongnam. After graduating from Changwon Gyeongsang High School and the Department of Public Administration at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, he passed the 37th Administrative Examination and entered public service.
He subsequently served as Vice Mayor of Sacheon City, Head of the Future Industry Headquarters of Gyeongnam Province, Director of Southeast Region Development, Director of Planning and Coordination Office, Director of Planning and Operations at the Presidential Policy Planning Committee, Disaster Response Policy Officer at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Director General of Local Finance Policy.
Deputy Governor Choi is scheduled to report his appointment to Governor Park Wan-su on the morning of the 25th and will begin official duties without an inauguration ceremony.
Ha Byung-pil, who served as acting governor in place of former Governor Kim Kyung-soo, who was sentenced to prison in the Druking case, has become Director of the Planning and Coordination Office at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
