Daewoong Pharmaceutical Completes Hope Walk Campaign to Support Children with Rare Diseases... Donates 20 Million Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on the 22nd that it donated 20 million won raised through the Hope Walk campaign to help children with rare diseases to the non-profit organization Good People International.
During the month of June, Daewoong Pharmaceutical conducted a campaign where the company would donate 1 won per step if employees reached the goal of 10 million steps, matching the amount raised. A total of 27 employees from Daewoong Group’s headquarters, research centers, factories, and nationwide sales offices, including Daewoong Pharmaceutical, voluntarily participated, achieving a final total of 44.65 million steps.
Good People plans to select recipients for the donations based on objective criteria such as income, medical conditions, psychological and social circumstances, and the effectiveness of support among patients under 19 years old suffering from rare diseases.
