Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Park Seongjae Demands Thorough Pre-Planning for New Schools
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Park Seong-jae, a Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member (Independent, Haenam 2), demanded thorough pre-planning of new schools and communication with related agencies from the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 21st.
At the 364th Jeonnam Provincial Assembly temporary session business report, Assemblyman Park pointed out, "The necessity for establishing new schools in areas such as the Oryong district is emerging, but school establishment is being delayed due to delays in central investment review."
Assemblyman Park urged, "The process of promoting new school establishments in new town housing development areas should be shared to secure construction periods so that all school facilities can be completed before the school opens."
He added, "Currently, students who cannot freely play due to the COVID-19 pandemic attending classes on one side because of school construction is not appropriate," and emphasized, "There should be no inconvenience to students living in new schools through thorough prior planning."

He also stressed, "Although many difficulties arise at schools due to COVID-19, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education must strive to improve students' academic achievement," and "Many issues in Jeonnam education must be resolved through active communication and cooperation with related agencies."
